When you create a host profile, we store:

Guests do not create accounts. When you visit a host's page:

How we use it

All data is used solely to operate FriendsOver — displaying availability pages, syncing calendars, and keeping your friend list. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Protecting sensitive info

Your contact details — phone number, address, calendar — are treated with extra care. They are not included in general page loads and are only made available when someone visits your specific host page. This means your contact info cannot be collected in bulk; it is only accessible one page at a time by real visitors.

Calendar access

Connecting a calendar is a one-time authorization. We request read-only access, use it to set up your availability feed, then discard the authorization immediately. Your actual calendar events are never sent to or stored on our servers — free/busy times are fetched directly in your browser when someone views your page. You can disconnect your calendar at any time from your host settings, or revoke access from your Google or Microsoft account settings.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely on our servers. We retain it as long as your host profile exists. You can delete your profile at any time from the settings screen, which removes all associated data from our servers.

Usage data

We collect anonymous data about how people interact with the app — for example, which buttons are tapped and which features are used. This data contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. It is used only to understand how the app is being used so we can improve it. App administrators are excluded from this tracking.

Your browser

Your browser stores a small amount of information locally to keep the app fast: your device identifier and a short-lived cache of pages you've visited. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics that identify you personally.
